WooCommerce plugin · Repairs, custom jobs & services
Add Repair/Service to Cart puts any repair, custom job or deposit into a customer's WooCommerce cart at the price you set. Send one link, or turn on a floating pay button that appears for that customer when they log in. They land at checkout with the job already in the cart, and you get paid through the checkout you already have.

Earthling workarounds, ranked
Charging for a one-off repair in WooCommerce usually means a throwaway product, a price you edit for each customer, or an invoice sent from somewhere else. Add Repair/Service to Cart does it properly.
| The usual workaround | Add Repair/Service to Cart | |
|---|---|---|
| Setting the price | Edit a "custom repair" product every time, and hope two customers don't check out at once | Each customer gets their own amount, stored with their request |
| Getting it to the customer | "Go to the shop, search for Repair, change the price…" | One link. They land at checkout with the job already in the cart. |
| Can the price be changed? | Plugins that put the price in the link can be edited by anyone | No. The link is a random code; the price never leaves your site. |
| Knowing who paid | Match PayPal emails to your notes by hand | Marked Paid automatically and linked to the order |
| Monthly invoicing fees | Often | None. $60 once, plus optional $10/yr for new versions. |
Flight plan
Under WooCommerce → Pay Links, find the customer by name, email, phone or an old order number. Type what it's for and the price.
Click Save & email link to send a branded email, or copy the link and text it. Or tick Pay button on your site and a floating pay button appears for that customer when they log in. Set an expiry date if you like.
The repair is already in their cart. They pay with any method your store accepts, and the request flips to Paid with the order attached.

Onboard systems
Repair shops, custom makers, installers, tuners, alterations, anyone who quotes a price after looking at the job.
One box finds customers by name, email, phone, company or order number. No scrolling through thousands of accounts.
No account? Just type a name and email. Registered customers also see a Payments due tab in My Account.
The link carries only a random code. The amount is looked up on your site every time the cart is calculated.
Paid, cancelled and refunded orders update the request by themselves. Failed payments reopen it.
Uses your WooCommerce email template, with a big Pay now button. Edit the wording in WooCommerce → Settings → Emails.
Turn it on per request and a floating button like "Upgrade · $95.00" appears in the corner of every page when that customer logs in. One click puts the job in their cart. It disappears once they pay or you cancel. Or use the [alien_pay] shortcode.
Links can expire on a date you pick. Cancel one, reopen it, or issue a new link that switches the old one off.
Keep serial numbers, ticket numbers and what was wrong with each job, visible only to you.
Compatible with High-Performance Order Storage and the Cart and Checkout blocks. Taxes follow your normal rules.

It creates one hidden "Repair / Service" item that only carries these payments through checkout. It never shows in your catalog and can't be bought directly.
Tax follows your normal WooCommerce rules. The item is virtual, so no shipping is added. If you need to charge return shipping, include it in the amount.

When they log in to your store, a floating pay button shows in the corner of every page, labelled with the name you chose (Repair, Service, Upgrade, Pay shipping only…) and the amount. Clicking it adds the job to their cart and takes them to checkout. The job is only ever added once, even if they also click the emailed link, and the button goes away after they pay.
